Zion & Lennox, the Z and the L (Félix Ortiz and Gabriel Pizarro), originally from Carolina, Puerto Rico, are one of the pillars of Latin music, R&B, Reggaeton and Dance pop. They met as neighbors in their hometown and quickly became friends sharing the same musical tastes.
The beginning of their career was recorded in 2003, when they participated in the compilation album “Desafío”, along with other emerging artists, and it helped them become known in different countries.
In May 2014 they released their debut album “Motivando a la Yal”. It includes the song “Ahora”, selected in 2005 by the game company EA Sport Canada as one of the soundtracks for “FIFA Football 2005”. That year they released “Motivando a la Yal, Special Edition”, with some collaborations, including Pitbull.
In 2006 they took a break as a duo and worked solo. Zion released “The Perfect Melody” in 2007 and Lennox, “La Evolución”.
At the end of 2008 they met again at the Coliseo de San Juan, Puerto Rico. Throughout the following year they released single songs on the Internet.
In 2010 they released their second album, “Los Verdaderos”, on the prestigious label Pina Records. There they got important collaborations: Daddy Yankee and J Balvin, among others.
In 2011 they participated in a compilation released by the label under the title “La Fórmula”, bringing together all the member artists. It includes the song “La Diosa de los Corazones”.
On July 28, 2013, during DragMania Music in Orlando, Florida, a confusing episode took place between Zion and the director of Pina Records, during which the singer was hit in the face and removed from the place by security forces. She then filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit and the duo continued their career on their own label, Baby Records Inc.
In 2014, “La Botella” was released, the first single from a new album, and then “Pierdo la Cabeza.”
In 2015, they collaborated with Ricky Martin on the remix version of “La Mordidita.”
On September 30, 2016, “Motivan2” was released on the Warner Music Latin label, including the remix version of “Embriágame,” with Don Omar and collaborations from Plan B, Nicky Jam, J Balvin, Farruko, Daddy Yankee, Maluma and R Kelly. In October, they visited Argentina for the first time.
On February 16, 2018, the single “La Player” was released, whose video stars Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima. On August 31, they released “Hola,” a new single, whose video was filmed in Cuba and whose star is Miss Universe model Bodine Koehler.
In May 2019, Zion & Lennox collaborated with Anuel AA and Haze for the song “Guayo.” In December, they released their new single and video “Sistema.”
On April 3, 2020, they released “Mujer Satisfecha.”
