Michael Egred Mejía, better known as MIKE BAHÍA, was born on June 27 in Cali, Colombia. He learned to play the guitar and piano at a very young age. He is a singer, composer and musician.

In 2013, he began his musical career with his participation in the reality show “La Voz Colombia” and that same year he began his solo career by releasing his first single “BUSCÁNDOTE”, a song that led him to success, produced by Montana The Producer, Juan Jhail and Ronny Watts. This single occupied the first positions on the radio charts in countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Colombia.

MIKE BAHÍA made a special appearance in the soap opera “La Niña” in 2016 and in “Francisco El Matemático” in 2017. At the end of that year, the singer joined the WARNER MUSIC family as one of the great promises of the urban pop genre, not only in Colombia but throughout Latin America.

In 2018 he released “QUEDATE AQUÍ”, this song was without a doubt a great debut for the Colombian, as it managed to position itself in the TOP 25 of the most important songs on Spotify and in the TOP 15 of Deezer, in addition to making its video go viral to the point that it reached more than 2 million views in less than 24 hours and was certified as PLATINUM in Colombia and Peru.

That same year, MIKE BAHÍA became a “HIT MAKER”, with three singles certified as Platinum; in addition to “QUEDATE AQUÍ”, his hits “SERENATA” and “ESTA NOCHE” with GREEICY, quickly became DOUBLE PLATINUM. 2018 culminated with the release of the song “CANCIONES CON MENTIRAS”, also written by him.

In 2019 he became a DEEZER NEXT ARTIST, a great bet by the platform for his talent and at the same time he became an ambassador for SPEED MAX, one of the most important energy drinks in all of Colombia.

He then released “LA LÁ” with OVY ON THE DRUMS, this single achieved PLATINUM certification in Colombia and DOUBLE PLATINUM in countries such as Peru; it reached the TOP 14 of Spotify Colombia and at the same time conquered the top of the National radio charts. The artist closes 2019 with a flourish, with 2 AWARDS.

HEAT in the categories of “Best Andean Artist”, “Best Collaboration of the Year” and the long-awaited release of “NAVEGANDO”, MIKE BAHÍA’s first studio album under the Warner Music label. The single that supported the album was “DETENTE”, a single that featured DANNY OCEAN, accumulating more than 100 MILLION VIEWS, being Mike’s first song to surpass 100 MILLION STREAMINGS on Spotify, achieving certification as a PLATINUM RECORD in Colombia and DOUBLE PLATINUM RECORD in Peru.

In 2020, MIKE BAHÍA joined his talent with the Dominican Mozart La Para, the Puerto Rican PJ Sin Suela and another of the great Colombian artists of the urban pop genre Llane to present us with “CUENTA CONMIGO”. On the other hand, he received a nomination at the PREMIOS NUESTRA TIERRA for “Best Concert Tour” with GREEICY. That same year he received one of the most important recognitions in his career, as he achieved his first and well-deserved LATIN GRAMMY in the category of “Best New Artist”.

The Cali native closes 2020 with the release of his song “QUIÉREME” under the production of Fury Records, directed by Jean Paul Egred. Afterwards, MIKE BAHÍA gets SOLD OUT in his first international concerts that were part of the “DETENTE TOUR 2021”, being a resounding success after resuming his first performances with an audience after the pandemic.

In April 2021, he is nominated as “Best Pop Artist” and “Best Video” with his song “Detente” with Danny Ocean, at the PREMIOS NUESTRA TIERRA 2021, in addition, he receives a nomination at LOS PREMIOS HEAT 2021 in the category “Best artist from the Andean region”. The Colombian artist was also nominated for LOS PREMIOS JUVENTUD in the category “Video with the most powerful message” with the song “Cuenta Conmigo” and after 6 years he returns to PERU invited to the #1 program on world television, LA VOZ PERÚ, where he is chosen as a jury to find the best voice.

In June he presents the single titled “LA RUTINA” and then, he releases “LA RUTINA” Road Version, receiving great acceptance and impact in the music industry. MIKE BAHÍA is nominated at the PREMIOS LATINO MUSIC AWARDS 2021 in the category “Best Urban Pop Artist” and in that same year the artist from Cali receives a “GOLD RECORD” in Peru for his reproductions on all audio platforms with his song “LA RUTINA”. In September he released his single “COLORAO” with Puerto Rican LENNY TAVÁREZ and in October he participated in a collaboration with Carlos Vives and Nacho, generating great impact and a good collaboration in the song titled “LA MITAD”.

In November he presented his song “AY AMOR” with the participation of Ñejo and Guaynaa and a month later he presented his album ‘CONTENTO’.
